Synopsis

Sery is a Source, born with immense magic but unable to use it. Enslaved for her power, her life is one of abuse and exploitation until one day, everything changes.

Veltyen, a sword-mage, rescues her, releasing her from her chains. He takes her to join the mage guild Eterna, where she learns she can help others without being used. As her magic boosts the guild to entirely new levels of power, trouble brews. Other guilds want Sery’s power, and they are willing to destroy Eterna to get it.

As Sery comes into her own and explores the unique powers of a Source, she makes unexpected innovations that will change society, and life as she knows it.

Loegrion is a country thrice cursed.

Least of the three is the occupation by the Valoisian Empire, which the people have grudgingly learned to live with.

~ Four central protagonists with their own personal journeys to undertake, at first alone and then, together.

~ First person POV for the the primary protagonist and third person for everyone else, which will occasionally rotate to one of the other three protagonists.

~ Chapters may/will get fairly chunky, I'll try not to regularly exceed 10k but if it happens, it happens.

~ A lot of scenes describing catching, cooking, or eating, increasingly weirder fantasy fish.

~ In case you missed it the first time, this story will have a lot of queer themes. People will discover things about themselves, and there will be some gender stuff going on, so please feel free to give this one a pass if that's not your thing.
