Synopsis

When someone wishes for something hard enough sometimes they get exactly what they wished for and sometimes they get an unexpected dramatic adventure. The Call of Adventure follows Roden as he navigates a journey he is all too familiar with as he is thrust into a magical fantasy world of his own creation. He will have to work with what he knows to decipher the mystery of his appearance in this strange world, avoid a tragic end in a world full of dangers, and perhaps make some friends along the way.

This is a LitRPG Novel built on a hard system with a lot of depth and customization, but which tries not to beat you over the head with numbers constantly. In this world finding and reporting bugs and exploits is both encouraged and rewarded, and the gods have found the most qualified testers in the multiverse: Us. Now the unsuspecting natives of Astra are going to have to learn to live with a bunch of min-maxing, power-gaming, spreadsheet slinging nerds and gamers of all shapes and sizes as we do what we do best... break things.

Greetings fellow humans. This is my first story on Royal Road and my first long-term project written in English, so I do hope you will have some mercy in your heart when reading.

So, as you may have understood, this is a story with super-heroes - which is quite ironic for my first story considering all of the other ones planned are fantasy - and as such will take place in a modern-like setting.

Despite dark themes and gory scenes making their way into the story, it is still a super-hero world with the logic that matches, so expect characters to survive nuclear explosions without a scratch and yet to get defeated by a rubber ducky - as well as similar dark humor, thus the comedy part.

That means things move very, very quickly (my Excel spreadsheet hates me) and, regretfully, we often spend very little time with the people, places and things in each life. Some might call it an anthology. In Volume 1, each life is literally only a chapter. In Volume 2, the word count is in the same range, but some lives are split into multiple chapters.
