Synopsis

A soul who died just in time to enter a brand new world. A man who spent all his life reading of fantastical worlds filled with magic and adventure will finally get to live his dream. To be a hero? No. To explore the world and find adventure? No. He’s a forever DM who loves creating adventure for others! Now reincarnated as Dungeon Core in a brand new world and with a system that’s actually helpful, he will live out his dream of creating a sense of wonder and accomplishment in those who dive his depths.

This is my first story on RR and my first real attempt at writing. I’m mostly doing it for myself, but a part of that is publishing it for others. Most of the tags are to ensure creative freedom and that I don’t accidently break any rules, however there will never be any explicit `rated X` scenes in this fiction.

Longer Summary:
Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the multiverse, and were given a grace period in which they could expand their domains in relative safety. Once that period is up, however, the created universes will be able to interact with each other and other universes...as well as be at the mercy of the Void. I am one of those souls, and it's not easy. Between trying to raise up gods to defend my realm with, guiding mortals, accidentally making a xianxia world, and dealing with my own children, I have my work cut out for me. Now I know why back on Earth gods worked in mysterious, invisible ways. There's just too much to be done.

What to expect: Worldbuilding in the most literal sense, lots of POV's, Xianxia elements, and more. The LitRPG elements are very light, be warned if you're coming in for that.

This is a rewrite of an old story. It's been about six years since I dropped the previous, and having grown as an author and person, I decided to revisit the concept. The old one will be left up, for anyone who wants to revisit it or look at it from a legacy standpoint.

Saga of the Soul Dungeon

Mind the psychological tag. We spend a lot of time in the main character's thoughts.

When Caden dies, in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. He's not particularly happy to be dead, so resurrection in any form isn't too bad. The real problem? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has to share mind-space with it.

And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape.

And, even when he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon.

Of course, the location he chose might have a few issues of its own:

-It's on the border of two human nations, who are not particularly pleased to share.

-A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground.

-And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge.

And, as its own challenge, Caden doesn't want to lose his humanity, to merely become another murder-hobo dungeon.

Additional tags for gore, language, and sexual content added just in case. Note that the slavery tag applies, sort-of. Not really traditional slavery, just some aspects of the system can override free will.

This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to.

This work will never be dropped. Hiatuses may happen due to life, but I will never abandon this fiction.
