Luke died, and he didn’t like it.

Cannibal gods and evil monologuing not-angels would do that to anyone. So, when a chance presented itself to stave off death for good and gain powers he could only have dreamed of, he took it and didn’t look back.

Nothing comes free, however, and wielding an artifact that’s desired by forces far beyond his imagination, he must use wits, luck, and maybe some pluck to survive a manhunt orchestrated by the rulers of his new world– a pantheon of deities drawn straight from myth—the Olympians.

All he needs to do is make sure the person who witnessed his resurrection doesn’t spill the beans, figure out how this cultivation business works, and… do some quests?

It could be worse.

In this world finding and reporting bugs and exploits is both encouraged and rewarded, and the gods have found the most qualified testers in the multiverse: Us. Now the unsuspecting natives of Astra are going to have to learn to live with a bunch of min-maxing, power-gaming, spreadsheet slinging nerds and gamers of all shapes and sizes as we do what we do best... break things.

Not exactly the best of news for our resident Scottish history teacher whose ears have changed into fox ones alongside his nine new fluffy tails.

First though, Darren, or Lone, or whatever else the weird system claims he's called, has to figure out how to live with his new companion Sofia, for seemingly forever while also just barely managing to survive being stranded on a monster-infested island with a self-proclaimed former-immortal who can see despite being blind, can freely teleport, and who also, of course, seems prone to experiencing bouts of extreme depression.

Not an ideal situation when he himself hasn't been in a great headspace for over a decade now. But hey, at least there's an incredibly expansive litRPG system to keep the both of them entertained, right? That'll fight off the fear of death, surely.

That means things move very, very quickly (my Excel spreadsheet hates me) and, regretfully, we often spend very little time with the people, places and things in each life. Some might call it an anthology. In Volume 1, each life is literally only a chapter. In Volume 2, the word count is in the same range, but some lives are split into multiple chapters.
