Synopsis

Young Adult Novel for pre-teens, teens and all ages.

The life of a pre-teen is hard enough… but the bullies at ANNE HAWKSMOOR’s school make it even worse. Every day, Anne finds herself seeking refuge in the Chicago Public Library, burying herself in her favorite history, science, and math books… distant from all of her peers.

But while on a summer visit to her ancestral home in Greenwich,
England, Anne visits the Tower of London with her cousin Claire…only to find themselves trapped in the year 1548. With a young King Edward and his servant James, Anne and Claire must journey on an epic adventure to find a way home before they are stuck in the 16th century forever.

I will endeavor to stay true to the MMO genre while taking a few liberties to make it more interesting. However, this is closer to Slice of Life than anything. There will be drama, action, horror, humor, and everything in between, but I would call this entire thing a guilty pleasure reading (and writing).

I got bored with all those VRMMO novels that start out as VRMMO novels, then escalate into martial cage fights, alien invasions, dream dimensions, or whatever. I also don’t like how in several novels they take real-life skills into the game and the game is like: ‘Aight, you do you, bro!’.

This novel will keep the real world and the game world separate. Also, to me, it seems that many VRMMO writers have never played any MMO or other video games, or heard about things like patches, pacing, and vertical or horizontal gameplay.

Our protagonist is not OP (yet) but is not a pushover either, just a former researcher mage forced to become something else entirely to prevent his world's end and discovering that things were not entirely the way he thought. This is his journey, told step by step, with all the struggles and triumphs that entails.

Kira was... in the middle of something when the System came. Now, she is conflicted. On the one hand, apocalypse and end of life as she knew it. On the other hand, life as she knew it wasn't - well, it wasn't something she wanted to continue. She feels like she should be sad, or maybe angry is the right response? Kira's never been good with feeling how she is supposed to, but she knows that 'happy' definitely isn't the right answer. But, come on, the System prompt definitely mentioned mana, which means magic. This is light LITRPG - It is not the main focus but comes in around chp 5/8. There is Otome inspiration mixed in.

Progression Cultivation - This is combined with the LITRPG system but is more central.

Romance - This will be a slow-burn romance, again not the main focus, but it will be there. You will have to guess who this may be for a while :P

Regression - This is a Villainess who has regressed, experiencing a part of her world she didn't get to in her previous lives
