Thousands of years ago, HUMANKIND was destroyed ...
… but the xenos still worship them as GODS.
Now, xenos build cities among the majestic ruins scattered across the worlds. Though these alien people are surrounded by ancient wonders and relics, few understand their true powers. One Empire has learned to harness the remains of humanity's forgotten technology to reconnect the distant worlds ... and dominate them.
Eolh is a jaded, avian thief who was raised in the dark underbelly of Gaiam, a city full of winged xenos and soaring temples. When the Empire first stormed through the Gate, Eolh and his friends fought and bled to defend their home.
But the resistance died a long time ago.
No one dreams of fighting back, because only the Empire knows how to wield Humanity's forgotten weapons: warships that fly, robotic constructs that hunt, and rare mysteries scavenged from the tombs of the gods.
Instead, Eolh lives a half-life: thieving, running jobs, and selling his services as a freelance listener for the last gangs of Lowtown. He trusts no one, and only looks out for himself.
But when an unusual heist takes a deadly turn, Eolh must bargain with an overzealous android who carries an impossible secret—one that will shake the foundations of the universe.
There is one last hope for salvation.

Upgrade. Consume. Evolve. Whether it’s cybernetics or mutations, this world demands you be more than human.
Every century, the MALswarm invades — adaptive aliens of blood and steel led by Titans that decimate billions and leave behind raw Warp Energy. Humanity seizes this power, transforming into beings of mutated flesh and cybernetic might. Yet the promised utopia remains a lie, and New California’s underworld schemes to profit from the impending Fifth Swarm.
Amidst the chaos, two destinies collide. Ripley — a cybernetics savant battling to save his dying mother — operates in the shadows of a gang-owned nightclub. Diana, engineered for perfection, fights as an officer of the law to forget her past. When a monster is unleashed, they steal its infinite potential to warp their futures with their newfound powers.
In a city where salvation and damnation are inseparable, Ripley reinvents himself from the wreckage of his enemies' cybernetics as a mercenary who will one day become an architect of ruin. Diana's mutated blood crackles with lightning as she purges corruption, igniting into a storm of change. Against a grand conspiracy of aliens, rogue AIs, shady corporations, organized crime and centuries of forgotten history, their alliance — and conflict — determines if the world will plunge into darkness or embrace the light.
Wrong City? Wrong People? No. This is the right city, and they're the only ones who can save this dystopian future.
In the Clash of Blood and Steel, The Eclipse rises — echoing in Thunderous Omens and Webs of Lies.
What happens when you mix GodClads, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Akira and a dash of Blade Runner into the mix? This novel.
What to expect?
- Two MCs on opposite sides of the law. Crime vs Police. Mercenary vs Investigator.
- Superhero/Supervillain Themes. How far will they go to achieve their goals?
- Two distinct Power Systems. Cybernetics vs Mutations.
- Adaptation-based Progression. Every Powerset is a story of survival.
- A medium-burn story. Fast-action; slow-burn drama.
- Slice-of-crime. Criminal hijinx, cybernetic crafting, conspiracy investigations, and asskicking.
- Both MCs have separate romantic lives... for now.
- Weak to strong to legendary. Power. Fame. Money - they'll get it all.
- A long Sci-Fi Epic. Three Acts Per Volume. Ten Volumes.
- Eventual alien invasion and Kaiju fights.
Author's Note: This story can be pretty heavy at times. T/W's include: Gore, death, profanity, sexual themes (no descriptions), drugs. Honestly, my novel might be a list of war crimes one day. This story was highly influenced by some downer moments in my life as the characters learn that they can accept the darkness in them and embrace the light. As tragic as elements of this story might be, it is about overcoming tragedy. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Where were you, the day life as we knew it ended, and magic returned to Earth in a rush? When goblins, undead, and dragons were restored? When the electric grid went down for the last time, and gunpowder stopped exploding?
Selena Serrano was in school; med school, to be precise, and Human Anatomy class if you wanted to be even more specific. When magic returned it woke things which ought to have remained sleeping - like the cadavers her class was supposed to be dissecting...
To survive this new, changed Earth, Selena will need to become more than she had been. She'll have to understand magic, harness it, and in the process, she'll become the Accidental Necromancer.
Welcome to the Magipocalypse. Come right in! We have zombies...
"Does the art ever dream of you?"
I never had a destiny.
Orphaned young and raised by a crime lord to be a daredevil thief in his image, I spent years trying to live a normal life, clinging to the rare moments of connection I could find. I was always searching for the truth of the world, and of myself.
But when my passion for art pulled me into a twisted reflection of Earth and awakened my power over Artistic Creation, I had to face a question I could no longer avoid:
Would I finally be able to paint my own fate?
My name is Alexandra May. I am the Archmage of the Domain of Artistic Creation. Eyes in the Sky. The Memory Weaver. The Angel Slayer. The Color Bender. Friend to Shadows. The Thief who stole the World.
And this is my story.
What to expect:
A sharp, flawed, and funny protagonist. A dangerous world split between modern Earth and a myth-twisted sister realm. Magic that’s inventive, unique, and deadly.
Alexa isn’t perfect. Far from it. She’s clever but burdened with trust issues, hubris, and greed. And she doesn’t start strong. She doesn’t gain her powers until a quarter into Act I, and even then, she fumbles more than she flourishes: building tools, not dominance. Her real magical growth doesn’t begin until midway through Act II, when the story’s pace and stakes surge.
The magic system is anything but ordinary. Forget fireballs. Think salt-armored warriors, flesh-twisting tentacles, or symphonies turned into weapons. Battles are fast, brutal, and surprising, with real consequences. Characters die. Sometimes even those you thought untouchable.
The world unfolds in layers: Earth as we know it, and Ideworld, where myths, dreams, and nightmares rule. The deeper introduction to Ideworld’s ruling powers and factions doesn’t fully arrive until Act II, but once it does, the scope widens dramatically.
What ties it all together is Alexa’s voice: humor laced with cynicism, keeping the story sharp even when the stakes turn deadly. The cast around her is just as layered: flawed, human, and compelling. No caricatures.

(WARNING: This book contains graphic descriptions of body horror, blood, gore, violence, and trauma based heavily on real-life medicine. There is occasional profanity, alcohol, and drug use at various points. This is not a story for the easily squeamish, pursue at your own risk!)
When a deadly plague arises in a metropolitan desert trading post called Ash, a healer is summoned by the city's oligarchical ruling class to uncover its cause and nature. The healer, Appo Ilonnorot, is an intelligent and highly skilled practitioner of the burgeoning field of medicine, though he is challenged both by the almost supernatural nature of the plague and the town's absence of medical literacy. With the help of Jere, a laconic mercenary with a mysterious past, Appo is forced to navigate local politics, ancient superstitions, and even the harsh desert environment in order to contain the plague before it becomes an epidemic.

Author's Note: This is a slow-burn fantasy horror story I have been writing since 2020. While there are magic and supernatural elements scattered throughout, much of this story is inspired by actual historical medicine, in a foreign world where development is somewhere between Sumerian and Roman times.
Update 3/15/2024: That's a wrap, folks. Full story is here to read. Hope you enjoyed, and for future readers, I hope you enjoy.

In the wake of the Battle of Katze Plains, the banner of Ainz Ooal Gown flies proudly over the city of E-Rantel. The Sorcerous Kingdom has entered the world’s stage to the clamour of death and devastation; the surrounding nations fearfully prepare even as they reel from its calamitous debut. Within the borders of the newly annexed realm, its Human subjects cower in their homes as the Undead openly walk the streets and stalk the lands. Yet, when a destitute noble finds herself under the auspices of an unlikely benefactor, events are set into motion that will resound over the world for ages to come.
A kingdom builder based on the events and setting of Kugane Maruyama’s Overlord. In a fantasy world where beings of matchless power are transmigrated from the arbitrary existence of a game, Valkyrie’s Shadow chronicles the lives of the natives whose reality has been turned upside down by their advent. It is the tale of a nation created by the whims of a supreme sovereign, and his unstoppable servants who each have their own, often twisted, interpretations of their Master’s Will.
There is no victory in strength; no miracles wrought from magic that will save them: only the inexorable advance of a new world order where those who secure a place of service within will find themselves turned against the world that they once knew.
[Slow buildup. Methodical storytelling with a focus on well-rounded kingdom building and character development.]
