Synopsis

After defending hearth and home, Luca and his disciples established a foothold on their island.

The Skalds remain a threat, however, and the Wylish folk face an unforgiving winter. Without the supplies Luca scavenged, many would have died already from starvation and sickness.

And the cold will only deepen with time.

Luca’s shouldered a monstrous burden. In addition to extending his protection to the exiles, the cultivator has taken on a most improbable raising the nascent Jackal Sect to a position of power.

One of seven sects in Andaya, Luca’s followers lack what the others have in plenty. They have few resources, limited manpower, and far too little time to amend these shortcomings.

Most dire of all, their deity is young. Though Leshra’s wit is sharp, her own powers fall short of the gods Dai and Ro.

- Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains.

- "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward.

- Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle.

- A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light.

- Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts.

- The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely).

I am trying to go with a survival/"no modern tech" setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on what the world provides where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic.

It turns more political between the various clans later on.
