Synopsis

Jynn knows how to bring down the monsters that threaten humanity—and save the world while she’s at it—but who will believe Earth’s weakest Hunter?

Jynn Devhro was the world’s lowest-ranked Hunter. But since getting her System, she’s been secretly leveling up. Now, with her razor-sharp kindjal at her side, she’s ready to defend humanity from its enemies. And none too soon . . . because an interdimensional parasitic planet hangs above the Earth, releasing poison into the atmosphere and creating new monsters with its trailing toxins.

As she prepares for battle, Jynn is given an obscure assignment by the System, sending her deep into the heart of the Josu Rainforest. Soon she finds herself stalked by hit men unafraid of pursuing their mark on either side of the Gate. She believes these men are somehow related to Kesstel, a handsome and powerful Hunter who seems to know more than he’s letting on. But every time Jynn gets close to him, the assassins become even more aggressive.

Meanwhile, she hears rumors of a mysterious cult that’s supposedly searching for the same thing she is: a world on the other side of the Gate. Before she can determine the credibility of these reports, she receives a surprising invitation to one of the group’s secret meetings. But are they friend or foe?

What to expect:

- Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains.

- "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward.

- Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle.

- A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light.

- Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts.

- The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely).

I am trying to go with a survival/"no modern tech" setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on what the world provides where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic.

It turns more political between the various clans later on.

All characters are +18 including the monsters, who are sapient with the ability to consent. Some scenes have villains committing acts of sexual violence, but there will be no non-consensual sex scenes with the protagonist.

Bonus Chapters have extra-kinky material segregated from the plot to make them skippable if they're not your thing.
