It's here, a rewrite? Yes! I would like to think that this version will have better grammar, better jokes, hopefully, everything better. Since it was my first work and started solely to improve my English, the grammar always caused me headaches when I looked at it.

Well, and there are the plotholes which appeared with the whole multiverse thing that came with my other works... Let's just say that the first one was never written with the idea of turning it into a series.

So let's get a shovel and fill-up the plot so that hapless readers won't fall into those pitch-black pits. They might break a knee! Or worse, vanish forever.

Meet Cal; he's not actually unstable. Awoken in this new world years ago, his second lease on life has not been a smooth one. Now called upon to serve his country by completing what is, on paper, a covert military assistance mission, he finds himself marooned at the heart of the enemy. Saddled with a fake identity and family, Cal must balance the school life associated with attending a hybrid of magical college/highschool for nobles while also secretly investigating a plot with the potential to doom the Academy and the city in which it resides. Somehow, failing a class or two doesn't seem as important as stopping demons from burning everything down. Not everyone agrees with him.

At this point, his core is closer to the magical equivalent of a nuclear reactor. The downside to this is that conventional spells have become impossibly difficult to cast: Cale simply has too much mana. His spells collapse under the weight of his magic.

Then he finds himself summoned to a new world. One with a spellwork system capable of adjusting to his ridiculous reserves, creating new spells just for him.

Of course, things are never that simple. New magic means new things to learn, and if he wants to make spells worth having, that means going to a magic academy. On top of that, an old dragon has taken an interest in him, the kingdom's hunters seem alarmingly intent on attacking his classmates, and Cale's pretty sure at least one ancient evil has followed him from a past life.

But who knows? With magic back on the table, he might finally be able to perform what he sees as the true pinnacle of spellwork: baking.
