Mad God was my first English novel. I started writing it the end of 2020 and throughout 2021 and 2022, before I even found SH and ported everything over after its completion from WN. It was here that it gained traction; it is here that I met all of you and built a loyal following. Which I am extremely thankful for!

So... As my first work, with evident flaws, I decided it needs a redo. Not a big one, mind you. Just applying the skills I picked up throughout the years and refining them to make it flow better. That is what you see here. I am still working on it, meaning this rewrite, to make the story read even better. Do not expect significant changes to the story; just some tweaks here and there, and possibly some extra chapters where I feel like expanding on it. However, if you read the original Mad God, you already know the story.

P.S.: Please check the tags for more information about the book if you are a new reader. Note that I am not adding the 'Gender Bender' genre to the book. This was already a hot topic previously, but I stand by my original view from back then. Even if people complain about it, it is a reincarnation story and not about bending a character's gender. It is about rebirth, much like in Youjo Senki, which was what inspired me to write this one. And the disappointment in most cultivation books. This is the end of that discussion. It is my first novel that I started a long time ago and that I write with some slowness but always trying to give the best of me. I love very much these themes of cultivation and fights, romance and soft slices of life, so I decided to create my own novel that maybe could be enjoyable and charming for some or boring and disappointing for many, but it doesn't matter.

In the beginning you will find a lot of clichés and tropes similar to almost every novel, even in the first 200-300 chapters, because I didn't know how to give an original and unique start. But I'm always aware of your comments, criticisms and complaints, which help me to broaden my horizons and perspectives and give a better writing and story to the novel.

My writing and consistency at the beginning can be ugly with many mistakes, but as the story progresses I have learned from my mistakes and corrected a lot, even changing the way of narration a little as the story progresses and I write gradually.

PS: Don't get carried away by the names of the chapter titles, some will seem to say the MC's cultivation or that he will start planning or have objectives against others, which is completely wrong. Sometimes I can't think of a suitable title and just write the simplest one, hehe.

Ps: After seeing a few complaints, I realized to add two warnings. The mc is definitely a trained fighter and not innocent since he can kill but he doesn't go around killing that much even when others love to do it. I know, it's strange since it's a cn novel but honestly we have enough men who love to cut roots.

And, the character of the individuals from main novel will be slightly AU. For instance, Xiao Wu would only hug and keep chirping Ge, Ge. (Spoilers) The fem mc and others, well, I tried to put more personality, make their tongues sharper but it turned out AU. I accept that and realized that it needed to be mentioned, too.
