Synopsis

What do you do when you find yourself the sole survivor of the complete destruction of Earth? Nikola winds up in that position, disembodied in a half-built asteroid outpost, the last remnant and only hope of the human race. Nikola exists now only in digital form, controlling drones and cameras to interact with the world. But Nikola’s memories are fractured, and there are endless obstacles between awakening as a glorified computer program and saving the species. Is Nikola even human anymore? Is it even possible to resurrect humanity?

Greetings fellow humans. This is my first story on Royal Road and my first long-term project written in English, so I do hope you will have some mercy in your heart when reading.

So, as you may have understood, this is a story with super-heroes - which is quite ironic for my first story considering all of the other ones planned are fantasy - and as such will take place in a modern-like setting.

Despite dark themes and gory scenes making their way into the story, it is still a super-hero world with the logic that matches, so expect characters to survive nuclear explosions without a scratch and yet to get defeated by a rubber ducky - as well as similar dark humor, thus the comedy part.

Follow along as she has to wrestle with both her body and soul while the dark undercurrents of the grimdark future threaten to drown this newborn Eldritch monster with a penchant for admiring herself in the mirror.

- The first bunch of chapters are rather rough around the edges. Might rewrite them sometime, but for now, the sub-arc dubbed 'wandering in the city' leaves some things to be desired.

-This is far from what I'd call a literary masterpiece, I'm trying to keep it from being fully wish fulfillment and power fantasy but balancing that and my MC not being a ragdoll for everyone in the setting is surprisingly challenging.

I do not own Warhammer, everything aside from my Original characters belongs to Games Workshop.
