So, let me get this straight, I die not knowing how, get reborn as a mythical bird, my parents are dragons and this levelling system is crap.
If that isn’t bad enough, I’m also terrified of flying.
I’m never going to get used to this, am I?

This is the first story that I’m writing, so any feedback is appreciated.
A rewritten and more polished version of the first volume (chapters 1-68) can be found here: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/893293/rewrite-misadventures-incorporated--volume-one/
The greatest of adventures are never planned, nor do they necessarily start on the best of terms. But that does not mean that every sporadic escapade is sure to be good—a lesson that Claire Augustus, aristocrat, tomboy, and unwilling sacrifice, is forced to learn the hard way. Thrown in a dungeon she failed to anticipate, she has little choice but to kill her way out or fall in the process. All while coming to terms with a certain close contact's betrayal.
In his 60 years of life, he'd built up a good legacy and looked on to spending his later years quietly teaching his students the martial arts he'd cultivated over the years while working as a nurse for his day job. He'd long since saved enough for his retirement, but he just could not leave the profession of helping those who needed it.
In his younger years, he'd traveled the globe and, during his time in Japan, learned a historical preservation of a martial art that claimed to be Ninjutsu. Although, as he would learn, it was actually a Samurai art that the Ninja supposedly learned to infiltrate. Bottom line, it was effective.
His son had even enrolled his granddaughter into his studio in the kid's class. After practice one day, he decided to take his granddaughter for ice cream. This is when everything went wrong.
After the accident on the freeway, he was fine. His granddaughter was not. It was at this moment something supernatural happened. A ghostly vision claiming to be a fallen goddess promised him she could take his vitality in order to heal his granddaughter. In so doing, he would die but his granddaughter would live. Regretting his actions which caused his granddaughter's predicament, he agreed immediately. Next thing he knew, he regained consciousness in the womb of what would be his new mother, and next to him was his twin, a twin he would later discover was the very goddess who helped him to save his granddaughter.
This story has been discontinued and rebooted under a new name. If you would like to check out the new rebooted version of the story with far better writing, pacing, and characterization, please check out "Key to the Void."
Set in the near future, a popular streaming personality meets an untimely death at the hands of a faulty AI assisted truck. After realizing that somehow his consciousness mysteriously slipped into the coding of a popular VRMMO he is forced to continue living as an unfinished, untested class still left in the coding or be deleted.
After choosing the only option that didn't involve accepting his life being cut short, Morgan quickly finds out that he has been reborn as a female Zombie High Elf unaware the unfinished monster class only had finished scripting for the female models and not the male ones before being scrapped. Now forced to try and stay alive as the weakest possible starting creature, Morgan slowly learns more about why they were reborn, what the true potential of the "weakest class", and tries to understand just what exactly the nature of the world they are forced to live in, truly is.
When people die, where do they end up to?
I don't know about anyone else, but when I died, I arrived at the strangest Heaven of all times. And I got a chance to reincarnate with all of my memories!
Jackpot!
If you look away from the fact I had to reincarnate as a damn monster which is the lowest of all the bottom feeders? And I had to represent one of the worst goddesses ever!?
And to make things worse, my "birthplace" was a freaking Dungeon! And not your everyday Dungeon with level 1 slimes and goblins, but a freaking Dungeon-turned-world-destroying-facility!
Still, you gotta work with what you have. So see me how I survive in this crazy new world!!
...But I promise I won't be mad if the bosses get debuffed. No? Damn...

This is a rewrite of my "A Reincarnated Demon's Tales of Wonder" series, with a new plot and improved mechanics.
The story will also be given an updated version (which includes newer elements from the story earlier on) on Royal Road.
This is just something I write in my free time.
Thanks to lolodu09 for the cover image.
English is not my first language, so expect bad grammar.
"You wanted to save people your whole life, and this is how you die… Tsk!"
“Why wouldn’t she die? We slashed, cut, and pierced her, but she still drew breath!”
The greatest entity, the Heavenly Saintess, was betrayed for attempting to expose the secret of ancient Holy texts to the people. She was slain to a regretful and pitiful death by her best friend and companion—the Ice Saintess and ringleader, the mastermind that planned the crusade itself: The Holy Church.
The moment Clare Ederson faced her death, the artifact of the 13th god: yūbi no Kitsune emitted a bluish light and gave her a new life. She became a Half-breed, a scrawny Demon-kitsune of the Demon Clan.
Her two identities merged into one, with her sole objective sworn within her heart:
Absolute Vengeance!
Accepting her destiny and remembering her grudge, Clare builds and sharpens her abilities. Her time for revenge on those who planned her death approaches…
She aims to take over the Demon Clan and destroy the Holy Church, their gods and goddesses, and anyone who causes her demise or stands in her way. She intends to soar beyond her former power, fighting against the heavens, rising to the top as the one who wields two repelling powers.
When my curiosity got the better of me in the afterlife, I ended up reincarnating with several things I wasn't supposed to have, like my memories. But I got a second chance at life, and I wasn't going to waste it. Making a nice home in a dungeon, adopting an abandoned girl as my little sister, for someone who died alone, poor, and full of stress, I had everything I wanted and all the stuff I hated were gone.
But while my back was turned, immigrants and refuges?! Land management and negotiations?! Why are you making a country in my backyard?! And everyone wants me to be the leader?! And while I desperately tried to get peace and happiness to my new life, now someone wants my admin powers?!
After living 50 years as a human scientist, being reborn as a fire-wielding harpy is a bit of a shock. Not to mention, Fyre now has the physiology one might expect from someone with two X chromosomes—along with that of a bird. However she's much more concerned about the Role that's appeared at the bottom of her game-like stats sheet: The Dark Lord.
That's probably fine... Right?
Stuck in a freezing cave, Fyre forms a pact with a ravenous and morally ambiguous Dungeon Core, which helps tunnel a path to civilization. Though she now has some semblance of shelter, the community she joins is barely scraping by itself. But with the power of her fire—and science!—she believes she can help build a thriving metropolis.
There's just one hang up: These people were forsaken by the gods for the very power Fyre now wields. She can't abandon the lives of the people who have come to rely on her. But reviving the lost civilization might mean incurring the wrath of the heavens—and embracing her role of The Dark Lord.
What to expect:
- A trans MC (there's the genderbender tag for a reason!)
- Cozy kingdom building
- A unique take on Dungeon Cores
- Magic approached from a scientific perspective
- Girl Love (BUT it's a very slow burn! Like, only expect the smallest flickers of feelings to start developing in the first 50 chapters!)
