Everyone knows that true Legends never die. But they do occasionally retire.

After decades of bashing, slashing, and executing his way through the ranks of the evil tyrant king, Orin Ironfinger is… tired. Victorious and feared the world over, to be sure, but tired all the same.

Leading a rebellion as the highest-ranking Barbarian in the world is no easy feat, but now that he’s spilled enough blood to turn the seas red and burned enough vengeance to dim the sun, all Orin wants is to embark on his long-held dream of retiring into a quiet life as a small-town blacksmith.

But the gods have other plans.

Specifically, the Small Gods. The ones only the locals know about. The ones who give the happy blessings and the small boons of favor.

And so the question What happens when the world’s most terrifying Barbarian disappears and gains the favor of the gods?

- Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains.

- "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward.

- Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle.

- A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light.

- Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts.

- The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely).

I am trying to go with a survival/"no modern tech" setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on what the world provides where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic.

It turns more political between the various clans later on.
