Power of friendship? Getting stronger when you’re enraged? Powerful monster sealed in you by your father?
Yeah, that was not me.
I was the arrogant youngster who got punched on the first panels of the shounen manga I was reading.
I wouldn’t have even remembered his name if I wasn’t stuck in his body.

Tags and content warnings are mainly to give me creative freedom later on. This is my first novel ever, and English isn’t my native language, so go easy on me fellas. Any feedback is more than welcome, of course.
Everybody wants a second shot at life. Many get it - chosen by roaming angels and sent off to another word full of magic and cultivation, where they can live in ways that could only be dreamed of on earth. Where the only thing that dictated their fate was power.
Anyone that met Chance would have agreed that he deserved it more than most.
Life isn't that easy. Just like everything else, there are rules and regulations - and Chance didn't make the cut. Not until a lucky encounter gets him a one-way ticket to his future. A world where he can make something of himself.
If only Chance hadn't landed in the middle of an endless maze full of monsters salivating for his life. Isolated and lost, the only thing he has to work with is his strange, luck based magic and his determination to finally live a life worth living.
Fortunately, he has a whole lot of good Karma built up.
The Last Orellen is on hiatus. The break won't last forever, but it will last a long time. I wouldn't count on new chapters in 2025.
I still love this story. Some of the notes for it are in a place where I can look at them every day, but I'm not in a place where I can write about Kalen every day. My plate is full of passions, projects, and of course my fair portion of everyday life stuff.
I'm fortunate to be very busy, mostly with good things, but it means I can't give Orellen the majority of my attention. And when I was writing the last few chapters, I realized that giving it less than that wasn't going to work. It deserves better than the time I can carve out.
So I'll be back when the plate is emptier, and I can make Orellen a top priority.
I'll have a stack of finished chapters in my hands, and I'll make sure the road ahead of us is clear as far as I can see.
Looking forward to it,
Sieley
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by magical families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves.
If the most powerful people in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives.
Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it.
The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused epic fantasy with progression. It's set in a vast universe, and it's about a boy's journey to become a powerful magical practitioner. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission.
What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like...
Clever and resourceful protagonists.
Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline.
Old-school epic fantasy.
Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you.
Edward Hill was an old man, content with his lot in life as a godfather, preparing his retirement when an unexpected ambush ruined his plans…
Stepping through a portal of light was dangerous and foolhardy; stealing the destiny of a young man was tasteless; but when the choice was between that and death, he was more willing to take that deal.
Now, stranded in a new world, alone with no support, surrounded by people with treating him like a commodity, he must choose.
Toe the line…
Or, once again, create his own path…
—
And then, there was this mysterious system, calling him a hero… What a ridiculous idea.

Now, updated 4 chapters a week. Current schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Aspects are long dead. The venerated creators of reality are no more.
Yet the final scheme of their slayer, of the deceased Betrayer, seeks to grind all they have ever made to dust. And the truth is, it is working. Slowly but surely, the end of all things has been growing closer and closer throughout the eons. Inevitably, unstoppably.
The last Hope is a desperate gamble: For one of the first children of the creators to cast their very soul into reincarnation and perhaps return as something strong enough to stop the end. If there ever was any chance to begin with.
I am not stubbing this story until it's at least complete (if ever).
Expect:
High fantasy.
Weak to strong quick.
Powerful MC reincarnates, gradually starts regaining memories.
MC that is an actual character not a plot device.
My original unique magic system discovered along with the MC.
My original setting with mythos that have both been living rent free in my head for actual years.
Story that matters (or does it?)
No, I can't rewrite the prologue even though I lose a good half of prospective readers on it.
Good writing and decent grammar. Reviewers seem to like it, you might too.
Upload schedule: Updates every Saturday. 3000+ words per chapter.
Meant to be read in RR dark mode.
[STUBBING MEANS BOOK 7 (up to ch634) IS UP ON AMAZON, NOT ENDING]. ALL OTHER CHAPTERS WILL REMAIN ON ROYAL ROAD UNTIL SUBSEQUENT BOOKS RELEASE. THAT MEANS YOU CAN CONTINUE READING AFTER CH559 UNTIL THE NEXT BOOK COMES OUT!
Books 1 through 8 are available on Amazon here.
Lives are a currency, and Noah Vines is rich.
Reincarnated into the body of a poisoned magic school professor, Noah is given more than just a second chance at life. Every time he dies, his body reforms. With infinite variations of runic magic to discover and with death as a painful soul wound rather than a final end, Noah finally has a chance to wander the lands of the living once again.
And this time, he plans to get strong enough to make sure that he never has to wait around in the afterlife again.

What to Expect: A slow-life xianxia with crafting, character-heavy writing, and exploring the world and people of Xianxia in a way the genre usually skips over.
Booker has woken up in the wrong body; a body ruined by drug-use, trapped in a dead-end life as the lowest possible form of apprentice in a massive sect.
But all this doesn't faze Booker. He's got a positive attitude, and when he looks into the mountains he sees a climb waiting for him. Better yet, he has the assistance of a magical book that will help him craft any pill in existence perfectly - a skill alchemists would fight and die for. With his skills in crafting, his patient soul, and his relentlessly upbeat attitude, Booker is climbing the first of many mountains.
When an aimless guy dies making a noble sacrifice, he is presented with a chance to live life better in a new world. However, due to some godly negligence and terrible luck, his arrival does not go as planned. Having acquired overwhelming power, he has to confront a familiar question. How should I live my life?
This story is heavily influenced by Japanese light novels in regards to fast progression, overpowered protagonist, and hidden protagonist tropes.
As a heads up, this story is intended to be, above all else, fun. It does not take itself too seriously. My goal is to share my love of the genre tropes to make you smile and laugh.
The update schedule is "when I can, but it's still active."
Since this has become something of a minor issue, if you see this story anywhere other than royal road or scribblehub, I didn't post it. Please consider going to my patreon and supporting my work directly!
