A Requiem for Black Lilies is a quirky rags to riches, quasi isekai tale about found family, as well as the interplay of desire and morality, identity and transformation. Transexuality plays a pivotal role in the narrative, and the conveyance of this JRPG fantasy-esque universe eschews the thrills of combat and adventure for a more intimate look at the feelings of the characters and the realities of a nation built to sustain vampires.

This story has no set update schedule, but tends to average one new chapter every 1.5 weeks. It was heavily inspired by another story with similar themes, 'Vampire and the Dayspring Star' by Matoi (RoyalRoad). It is not explicitly related to that story in terms of its world, characters, creator, or otherwise.
