The Eldritch Cataclysm has arrived, and it's here to stay.
I was a soldier for over a decade before something whisked me away from Earth. Whoever or whatever had done the spiriting away, well, I loved them to death! Things are far more complicated now, and I'm still a soldier, sort of, but instead of shooting at people with guns, I go after monsters with little more than a glorified toothpick in my hand and a few leather straps protecting my body.
Okay, maybe I'm a little bit overreacting, but after hunting monsters for decades, it is hard not to exaggerate. I've seen it monstrous fish that can run on land, flying eyeballs with maws that can gobble up a cow, and then there are dragons. I won't even start with those. My current predicament is a bit worse than usual as we've set out to a faraway monster-infested island, Vosta, to search for Graves. He is one of my best friends, though a bit on the crazy side. He was even banished after blowing up a chunk of the city.
After hearing about a top-of-the-line ship, the Osprey, and its departure for Vosta, my lover Valorie, and I, set out to find him. Two other party members joined us on our trip, too. One is a Dwarven inquisitor named Callick, and the other a Goblin named Banxie. I definitely have no scale that can measure the latter's stupidity and willingness to blow things up, but they're both long-time friends and, well, like family. Where one goes, the others follow.
The only problem? We are nowhere near Vosta. The monsters are much stronger, pitch-black rifts open and spew out all kinds of creatures, and the worst of all, a Dragon has made the land its own. Things quickly change when the Dragon appears in the form of a dangerous but alluring woman. She is very interested in seeing our progress...among other things.
My world shattered, torn apart by the maniacal laughter of a wicked man. But I refuse to surrender to despair. Deep wounds fuel my determination as I embrace a new life with a deadly class, ready to take my revenge on everyone who turned my existence into a shadow of its former self.
Greystone, an unforgiving city teeming with danger, becomes my battleground. Treacherous alliances need to be forged, and a new home rebuilt, but I won’t have to do it alone.
Unexpected allies emerge, each bringing unique skills to my path of revenge. A talking pangolin-badger with a sharp tongue, a towering and troubled blacksmith, an enemy-turned-ally mage, and a young healer damaged even more than me.
Change looms behind Greystone’s colossal walls as guilds vanish, arena fighters wind up dead, and whispers of a great war permeate the streets.
I am Cade, a man driven by vengeance, and soon the city will learn that everyone's blood runs as red as that of my fallen comrades.
Basebuilding is for beginners.
What about turning a shoddy nightclub profitable in the worst part of town? That's more like it!
Stuck with a nightclub after a job gone wrong, Frank has to figure out how to rebuild something he never even wanted. That's just the first of his problems.
Party with orcs, barter with gnomes, drink with dwarves, and make shady deals with the scum of Sankta Varath, the greatest city in all of Steelheart Kingdom. And that's just the first week.
Frank isn’t a manager, he's got zero people skills, and even fewer connections in the business. With a drow for a bartender, a religious zealot for a waitress, an ogre with a sleeping problem for a bouncer, and an orc dancer, just what could go wrong?
About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with fantasy action, mystery, system management, adopting a ragtag group of rejects, and a game system that screwed the MC by giving him a cursed sub-class, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for readers who enjoy exploring rich world-building and complex characters.
We’d survived the battle for Sklava City, but just... Parties were scattered, academies split, and the Tower—the monolithic structure that served as both order and protection, was toppled. What should we do next? In short, make the city safe and find our path forward. The mistresses and elders have a plan, but it requires us to venture forth into the wilderness and seek out a new mind stone. The problem? We’re just students. And the world beyond Sklava’s wall is a wild and dangerous place. We find far more than we bargain for—hostile beast tribes, ancient and unpredictable elementals, but also the repercussions of generations full of bad decisions. How do we survive? Cultivate new strength. Find new, more powerful allies. And prepare for a life unlike anything we’ve ever known.
