Jax might not have started the war, but he'll damn well finish it. But can he and his allies make it through unscathed?
When Jax entered the UnderVerse, it was with the plan of finding his brother, holing up somewhere and maybe, just maybe, trying to take over the world. He’s making progress in all of those goals, but maybe not in the ways he wanted.
The God of Death has personally intervened to send his Dark Legion against Jax and his people, with the aim of grinding the upstart Empire usurper into dust. Jax has refugees by the hundreds, Legionnaires of the Empire by the score and best of all, a team that are cheering as he spits in the God of Death’s eye.
The sun is setting though, with new enemies appearing and hidden forces being revealed.
The War of the Gods is growing, and when the sun rises again, it’ll be in a changed Realm…

Warfare below the streets, backstabbing and brutality.Kabutt is out. Out of the army, out of patience and out of control, he's found a home, people to fight for, and once again, the city seems determined to screw that up for him. He's got backstabbing elves trying to rip him off, corpos forcing him and his team into unsanctioned deathmatches for live broadcasts, and of course, the usual skulduggery, not to mention more goddamn goblins. He's got his suit though, it might be stripped, but he's got it, he's got hope, he's got heavy firepower and hell, he might even get laid. All things are possible... provided you've got enough high explosive, anyway. It's time to start evening the odds...
Blood, chrome and betrayal.
Sergeant Harry Kabutt has seen better days. He's been shot down, blown up, and then tossed to the wayside by the corporations, left to rot in a ratty apartment in gang territory.
His own limbs? Shredded, cut away, and left to rot on a mountainside. The replacement mods? Likely to fall apart or leave him to die in sepsis.
No longer an operator of the feared APS mecha, Kabutt has hit rock bottom. But he’s on foot, he’s armed, and he’s in serious pain…
…so, now it’s time to take that pain and spread it around the mega-city of Artem, see who flinches first.
Revenge never goes out of fashion
Wounded, abandoned behind enemy lines, left for dead…
Ajax is one of Earth’s most elite, a Paladin pilot, and trusted to fly the most advanced starfighters humanity ever produced. His carrier and the rest of the fleet have fallen back, the recent damage from the elven betrayal making it impossible to stay in the fight. He knows they’ll return, and they’ll treat this world to the same kind of plasma bombardment that the elves had inflicted on Mother Earth.
The real problem for Ajax, though, is that he’s parachuting down onto it now, his arm broken. He’s got no ship, and only a few months’ worth of hazy memories, after losing them to the purge. He’s got no damned weapons, only the most basic memories of survival training, and absolutely no clue about the planet beyond what he can see floating down. This is going to be a hell of a fight to get back into orbit, but he’ll do it—or he’ll die trying.
They say humanity is only three meals from going feral… it’s time the rest of the galaxy found out just how true that is.
A realm aside from our own is the center of the realities, home to every spectrum of magic. From the beautiful to the terrible, it was all held in delicate balance by the Eternal Emperor and his children. For ten thousand years, the empire was the bastion that protected the sentient races from the darkness, but the revolution changed all that...
Jax's a pretty regular guy, has a job he tolerates, a girl he kinda, sorta loves... and he fights creatures from the UnderVerse in his sleep, leaving him covered in horrific scars when he wakes up...
When his brother vanishes, and five years later he's kidnapped as well, he's given a stark choice by his asshat of a father; Go to the UnderVerse in reality, travel to the capitol of that ruined realm at the center of existence, and open a portal for the Noble Houses to return home...or die.
Slowly.
That's the good news, the bad is that he has to survive the arena first, to prove his right to go...twelve will enter, only one can leave....
Please be aware this is a dark LitRPG Fantasy and contains sexual references, violence and swearing. Ever wondered what would happen when a regular guy ends up in another world getting hunted and having his body torn apart? Yeah...that's why there's a lot of swearing...
Things are looking up for Jax, more or less, He’s met a cool girl (Who’s a wisp), got some new friends (Who’re Dwarves and Cat people and Elves and all sorts), and started a war… (Whoops!)
That last one might not be the best idea he’s had yet, admittedly, but the guy was an ass, and he deserved it.
Only thing is, they say an Englishman’s home is his castle, and Jax’s home is in ruins… this place isn’t going to be any use in defending his new people unless he gets it sorted, and fast!
He needs material, equipment, magic and people, most of all he needs time, time to get things ready, to get his ships in the air and his house in order.
When you’re surrounded on all sides, outclassed, outnumbered and everyone’s probably a bit brighter than you are, there’s only one option…
Attack!
